“Life is a journey…..therapy with SLP Support Services can help you to navigate through the challenges along the way”
I am a qualified, experienced counselling therapist with a busy private practice in South East Milton Keynes. I am passionate about the work I do and want to offer everyone the opportunity to access the support they need & recognise that with the right support, change is possible.
SLP Services was established in 2019, with Sarah providing practical and emotional support and advice to parent’s of newborns – establishing routines and encouraging healthy sleep patterns.
Through working in A&E, school nursing and in family homes Sarah developed an interest in the mental health and physical wellbeing of her clients, and went on to train as a fitness instructor, alongside training to be a counselling therapist.
SLP Support services expanded to offer a range of services, including fitness classes. Trying to juggle a busy family life, alongside running fitness classes, working as a nurse and building a private counselling practice became overwhelming and Sarah recognised the need to prioritise her workload.
SLP Support Services now focuses on providing Individual therapy services for Adults, Children & Young People and Couples Therapy.
Experience in working with substance misuse, addiction, abuse, relationship difficulties, self-harm, low self-esteem, bereavement, anxiety and depression
Parenting is challenging, and no matter how prepared or relaxed you are, the first year with a new baby can be a difficult but very rewarding time. You may feel overwhelmed but remember there is no right or wrong way – by loving your baby and caring for his/her needs you will find a style of parenting which works for you and your family
Counselling and psychotherapy explores feelings, thoughts and experiences. Children and Young People can find it hard to talk, therefore creative methods can be used to help children and young people make sense of their world and understand their feelings.
Life can feel overwhelming and we can face difficult challenges at times. Counselling provides a confidential, non-judgemental environment for you to make sense of these difficult and challenging experiences and provides a safe space to process your thoughts and feelings.
Sarah specialises in Women’s Health and the impact of life changes such as puberty, childbirth and menopause. If you are feeling stuck and would like to make changes to your lifestyle or struggling with your mental health, SLP Support Services offer a free 30 minute consultation to establish which of the services would be most appropriate for you. In order to work ethically Sarah is unable to offer therapy to any current fitness clients.
Looking after a baby is a mixture of tremendous pleasure and pure hard work.
Counselling provides a confidential, non-judgemental environment for you to make sense of these difficult and challenging experiences and provides a safe space to process your thoughts and feelings.
Couples therapy is an opportunity for you both to develop a deeper understanding of the challenges you are facing within your relationship.
“If we can share our story with someone who responds with empathy and understanding, shame can’t survive”
